I have about 3 months worth of anxiety meds in my room and refilling another month that’s available to refill. At least I have that. It’s not enough. But I have it. I have about a 75 day supply of Zoloft. So that's helping me get through. Thank God I just upped my meds otherwise I'd never get through this I just got a 90 day supply of Prozac and even with that I'm barely hanging on.

DH cancelled a non essential doctor appointment for today and they are still going to charge him because he didn't give 24 hours notice. I would think in light of everything they'd be thrilling he was rescheduling. Our doctors are now all closed. Doors locked. But schools are open so that’s good 😳😩

So Boris is about to get a hard punch in the face from me. Schools still open and business as usual in the hope we all get coronavirus and generate herd immunity...(I’m not making this shit up btw) Now he’s cancelled any testing!!! Unless you are hospitalised with symptoms, testing is prohibited. So that’s good. 😫 Wtf? I'd probably keep my kids home anyways I’m really torn about what to do for the best. Do I keep them home - but until the schools close, there will be no resources or online learning. I would have no idea where to begin with the 12 year old as she’s in high school now. I could possibly wing it with DS. The non catholic high school closed today as a pupil and staff member have symptoms (the no testing rule means no one knows if they actually have covid) but it’s re-opening in 3 days after a deep clean. It’s a farce.

I've mentioned it before, but we live in a small vacation town near the Michigan border. The majority of permanent residents here are retired/elderly and most of the lake homes are owned by wealthy Illinois residents (Chicago and suburbs) who primarily only come to their second homes in the summer.
Having all of them come here now that Illinois schools are out has decimated our grocery stores because the winter population is usually very small and stores don't stock to their summer capacity. Also, we haven't had any cases in the northern half of Wisconsin, but I wonder if we will now that people are coming from infected areas and emptying our stores. It's not like you can tell someone not to go to a home they own, but our small elderly community could be hit really hard by people traveling to our town. I'm starting to get some major anxiety.

Kindergarten home schooling is already killing me. We just finished 4 assignments for Monday and it was really painful. Poor ds, I don’t have 8 hours to work with him through the day, so I’m pushing him when he just doesn’t have the patience/interest.

I’ve heard several 3rd hand rumors of a lockdown coming in the next day or 2. Someone knows someone who has a government connection kind of thing. None of its close enough to verify, but I’m a feeling a little panicked about it. On one hand I know with certainty we will be ok. On the other hand I have no idea what life will look like 30 days from now and it’s scary as hell.
DH just went out for one last shopping trip. It’s total panic stockpiling mentality, but we’ll feel better if we just have a littttttle more. I’m sure tomorrow I’ll think of something else I’d feel more comfortable if we had on hand, but we’re hoping to be able to not go anywhere at all for as long as necessary. He’ll make one last trip into work tomorrow too. I still can’t believe this. It’s hard to have 0 plans besides survive at home for as long as possible.

That sucks scotty. The unintended consequences of all of our behavior right now hit far and wide. H and I have joked that we should just drive to a beach house somewhere. We’re not going to, but the impact that could have on a community we’d enter wasn’t something I’d considered.

Yeah, the idea that parents who are still going in to work full time (or even expected to properly work from home) are going to be able to do any more with their kids (those too young to be expected to work independently) than what there normally is for homework is seriously flawed. But we (schools) have to send stuff so that it seems like we're doing something to try to keep school-ish education going. Is his day care trying to build in any academics for the school age kids?

I've heard mentions of night time curfews. Some maybe just for tomorrow to reduce consequences of people wanting have their usual St Patty's day alcohol fest; I guess that makes sense.
But otherwise it seems silly - it's not like germs spread more at night (well, ok, sunlight does probably help kill some on outdoor surfaces, but ... ) and making everyone get any out of the house stuff done within the same shorter time frame doesn't help social distancing. Plus hard on health care workers and first responders who work shifts and might want to pick up takeout or something.
Am I missing a good reason for night time curfews?

Guys, by the time DH got home today I took my dinner and ate in the backyard with my winter coat on. Most of the day wasn’t awful but between 4pm and dinner time is typically a rough time in our house and after all the stress of today and the past couple days paired with my kids acting like complete assholes I just had to get out of here. I was not very nice and I feel like absolute crap and how the hell am I going to do this for weeks on end?? My kids are going to hate me by the time they leave the house.

They told us no, so I’m not expecting them to. Maybe they will try. I may send him with a book or one of the worksheets. It’s not bad homework, but for example he had to read/be read to about the artic, then he had to chose an artic animal and respond to prompts. It’s only one sentence for each prompt, but first we have to go research the animal and then chose the facts to write about. It’s a fine assignment but it was just one of five (just got his math assignment after we finished the other 4) and that is a bit much.

Patrick had an asthma attack tonight and needed an ambulance.
We are in hospital just now and he’s fine. I think we should get out soon.
He’s getting steroids just to help over the next few days.
The scariest moment - I’m still in shock I think but once we are home and settled, I’ll come back all tell you all about it.
