I keep seeing posts on the local families FB group saying that at least their houses have never been so cleaned and organized. How? Ours is getting messier by the day and I haven’t figured out how to fit in tiddiying, let alone cleaning, while taking care of the girls 24/7. I need nap time to come back! Our schedule includes, chore time each day. Is much more tedious doing things like laundry or changing beds with DD's help but it's getting done at least.

Is it bad that DH is working 7am-11pm daily and I’m taking care of the kids while day drinking?!? Why does he have such long hours now? Tax season? Or the craziness on the stock market? I'd think nobody outside of healthcare (and supply chain for protective gear), or possibly also grocery, tp, etc, supply chain, should be working so much right now. Anyway, no problem with a day drink. It’s the combination of the craziness in the financial markets and the disrupt in the oil industry, which is what he cover. He doesn’t have fixed hours but he says there is just not enough time in the day now to keep up with all the craziness. His boss’s boss’s boss called him yesterday, Friday night at 8pm for an update. And On top of all the work stress, he thinks he is going to end up being the scapegoat and will be laid off. My neighbor had to lay off her entire staff of 30 people yesterday, and she herself is laid off at the end of April. Such hard times for everyone.

I think they are still waiting for guidance so we'll see. I'm wondering if I should keep him home anyway. Honestly, I know it’s easier to send him but keeping him home is the best thing you can do right now. Everyone needs to limit exposure. I saw something the other day that resonated with me.... don’t change your behavior to save yourself from being infected. Assume you’re infected and change your behavior to avoid giving it to others. We all have to do what’s best for the most vulnerable among us and that is staying home as much as possible. I am leaning in this direction. I'm not essential and I can WFH. I feel like I'm contributing to the problem if I send him. Plus the uncertainty of if/when they close is contributing to my stress so it may actually help to just pull him.

Day 1 shelter in place- DS yelled at me for only doing laundry once a week. This is why liquor stores are considered essential...

My cousin has Coronavirus. It’s been 10days and he still has a fever. Went to the hospital twice but got sent home both times because they said his lungs were good. Hoping for the best.

New Englanders, springbeduk in particular will appreciate this. Someone local to me is asking for suggestions for a drive to get the kids out of the house. Someone said Acadia is open and not charging an entrance fee, take a scenic drive. Acadia is over 4 HOURS away from us. Pretty sure a 9 hour scenic drive is not the prescription anyone needs 😂

CT is mandating shelter in place as of Monday evening. DH has a letter from his job that he is critical but I think that's crap. I'm not sure if they are considering DCs critical. They are considering liquor stores critical though. Liquor stores 😂🤣 Seems ridiculous, but then again if they close liquor stores people will probably drive to the states that have alcohol in the supermarket (like here!) increasing the spread.

Maybe they should go to the cape and go to the beach. Fun fact - Acadia never charges entrance fee this time of year. I mean officially you're probably supposed to have a pass but they don't staff the one checkpoint until I think memorial day. And I can't imagine they check parking lots for passes displayed. But it's only partly open really - the park loop road including the road up cadillac are usually closed until mid April - they don't plow or salt them . though it's been so warm they might be open now But there's only a couple pit toilets here and there for bathrooms in the off season.

People are coming up to their summer homes here too. 😠 I hope they at least buy lots of takeout (or delivery if places have started offering that) to help local businesses. Not like MDI (and other coastal areas) has a lot of restaurants open in march, but for the few that are ....

So I checked her profile - lives in Maine!

mrscheese that is really heartbreaking about funerals. That closure is so important for families. I’m glad your h has some guaranteed income though, that’s a relief.

In Wisconsin restaurants can now sell alcohol as part of takeout. No need to head to the store, curbside takeout is all you need. 😂
As far as cleaning the house, my day to day is exactly the same but DH is bored and has taken to doing dishes. It's a quarantine miracle.

mrscheese one of my nurses lost her mother this week and they can’t have a funeral. It’s so sad. Her mother had pulmonary hypertension and congestive heart failure. My nurse has a special needs brother and with everything going on it caused her mother increase stress caring for him which lead to her heart failure not being in control. It’s all just terrible. Covid leads to so many other problems too.

activebaby, I'm sorry for your nurse's loss. My aunt's sister died last week, and they've opted to cremate her and have services later. Most of the family was at least able to go to the hospital and say goodbye before the visitor restrictions came. But it's very much a prolonging of the wound.

Well, my virtual happy hour with friends backfired. All they were talking about is everything that’s going on and just giving me more and more anxiety. I literally just hung up from our Skype call without even saying goodbye and not one person reached out after to see where I went. I barely slept at all. I’m sorry. We’re all available if you want to try again 😊

It's a quarantine miracle. MN is considering alcohol for take out. Dh did dinnee with the kids yesterday while i met my sistee to get pullups. When i got hom they were watching a movie in the man cave and he told me that he started the dishwasher. Except he didnt. You have to push the botton twice to start it. I'm giving him credit for trying.

I may have to put on make up for the first time in a week though😂
