Our stores are completely out of chicken. But at least we still have pork! I can’t find chicken or ground beef. But we found steak, lol We've got ground turkey instead of beef, but it works!

We use Target subscribe and save for TP. Our order actually shipped today. What I'm really desperate for is eggs. We got eggs from costco too! And I had previously gotten a carton of egg whites from target in case eggs were hard to come by.

Also, Amazon has toilet paper I stock. I haven’t been able to find any for a week even in the store. Is it super over priced? Going to check it out now No. It’s the amazon brand.

Stay at home order coming for us. Remote learning extended to at least May 4th. I knew it was inevitable, but still another month+ of isolations sounds so freaking long right now.

I finally found/got a package at Staples, of all places, on Sunday when I went in to pick up my printer ink order. Good thing too because we were on next to last roll! But it's not gonna last forever. this whole TP situation is so ridiculous.

I've noticed that unlike so many other things, stores seem still well stocked on "feminine hygiene products". Surprising since non perishable and pretty essential. Does that mean men (and maybe post menopausal women) have been responsible for all the panic over-buying? Or way way more women than one would guess have switched to cups? Or what?

Which poor federal employees have to hurry up and quick implement the stimulus check payouts? And who the heck is watching their kids while they work?
Feel similarly bad for (and appreciative of)everyone who is working in state unemployment offices!

Or are free bleeders. Maybe they just haven’t reached that point in the month yet and have forgotten. I’ve got my cup and a box of liners so I should be good for 3 months at least. TP is an everyday, every person essential. And my H is home, so...

Feel similarly bad for (and appreciative of)everyone who is working in state unemployment offices! It’s probably the IRS or National Finance- and I think they’re both being required to still go into the office. I have no clue how people are figuring this out. Because daycares are closed and emergency ones are on for medical personnel. It’s why the government needs to come up with a better solution for everyone. People can’t work at home with their kids and they can’t go to work and leave their kids- this isn’t a solution for anyone.

I heard some stores around here were out of tampons. I stocked up last month.
I went grocery shopping and finally got eggs. Random things they were almost out of were ice cream, veggie burgers and cream.

Is anyone who normally suffers from migraines having really bad ones? Ds1 went from one a week to 2 a day. Mine typically increase this time of year. I take a Claritin nightly to help keep them at bay. I've found that big changes in temp/ pressure can bring one on. I actually had one all day on Tuesday.

Just saw that a couple of the indoor play places announced they’re closing after today, in compliance with the governor’s order. I’m aghast that these places were still open.

comicsans apparently too many people took somebody's suggestion to visit Acadia National Park - they announced yesterday they're closing (really closing not just in off-season mode like they usually would be) because too many people were coming (the report said sand beach parking lot was into overflow parking at least one day) and were crowding around staff who were trying to keep up with cleaning the (very limited this time of year) bathroom facilities, etc. to ask questions and not keeping at a proper distance from others, etc. People. 😠

@lulu did you see the Pope’s to the city and the world address today? It was so moving and seeing him in an empty St. Peter’s Square with the monstrance and Eucharist.... 😭

DS has started coughing. It sounds like a cold but I'm freaking out a bit. How is he doing today? He's still coughing but it's not any worse and he's totally fine otherwise. No fever, acting normal, etc. It sounds like a cold but of course I can't help but worry. DH and I agreed that if he gets any sort of fever, we'll immediately call the doctor.

Some churches in the diocese are live streaming so we are planning to watch the vigil tonight as a family. Even typing this has made me cry mrscheese.

DH and I agreed that if he gets any sort of fever, we'll immediately call the doctor. Would they even test him? Here there's such a backlog of tests I'm pretty sure they are only testing people in hospital, health care workers, and maybe some others at high risk. Otherwise they just say self quarantine and I'm not sure what the current advice on avoiding ibuprofen is. Maybe that? But really doc can't do anything. Ds has had a cold thi whole time - the standard day care toddler snot faucet kind so pretty different from covid19 symptoms. But I'm still just praying it doesn't develop into an ear infection or something because having to go to doc right now would suck plus since it's respiratory, even though no cough (and no fever but one would develop with ear infection) they'd have to waste scarce PPE and is feel bad about that. I think I'm getting his cold now too, but again, feels totally like a regular stuffy nose/sinus cold; no fever; etc. But better not go to a sinus infection!

springbeduk, I don't know if they'd even test him either. Anytime he's a a fever with a cough, he's had pneumonia so I'd still want a doctor to see him. I'm sure I'm just overreacting.

Though I suppose testing wouldn't probably give much new information in that case, in terms of her care. Though if she had been tested before getting sick might have exposed fewer others. Plus not testing means the numbers are way off.

They keep extending our online cookie sales. Now we're set up through the end of April. It's so strange. Is anyone else's council doing something like that? I also still have 68 boxes at home to sell.
