They keep extending our online cookie sales. Now we're set up through the end of April. It's so strange. Is anyone else's council doing something like that? I also still have 68 boxes at home to sell. No we are done. Did you get the email that they are doing meetings online through zoom with any girl scouts across America? |

I just cancelled our trip to San Diego. RIP spring break. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ I was supposed to go on a girl's weekend for my birthday which is Saturday. We booked an Airbnb in the poconos. Canceled 😔it sucks. I'm sorry Lame. We never go on real vacations like that require flying. I was so looking forward to a change of scenery and sun. The bright side is that the hotel and car were 100% refundable and the airlines gave us full credit vouchers to use within a year. I’m happy with that. |

Here not even all the health care workers can get tested. My coleader is a repiratory therapist, worked with a postive patient and then got sick, and was just sent home to quarantine. that's awful! Though I suppose testing wouldn't probably give much new information in that case, in terms of her care. Though if she had been tested before getting sick might have exposed fewer others. Plus not testing means the numbers are way off. I heard horror stories about trying to get tested especially for kids because it can only be done at the children's hospital. DS sounds hoarse so I'm feeling better that's it's just a cold. |

My parents are becoming more work than my kids. My mom is used to going to the store almost daily and now she can’t. I taught them how to do online order through the grocery store, instacart, Costco, etc. They are annoyed that things they want are out of stock and there’s either no replacement offered or they don’t like the one offered, though. My mom called this morning all in a Twitter about needing things from the grocery store and frustrated that she couldn’t go herself. She made it seem super urgent so I told her to text me her list and that we would go get them at the store and drop them off for her. This was the entire list:
4 large rutabagas
Cooking spray
Romaine lettuce
Sara Lee diet bread
Sour cream
Oreos
Onion rings
Spice drops
Honestly. 🙄😬😂😆

My parents are becoming more work than my kids. My mom is used to going to the store almost daily and now she can’t. I taught them how to do online order through the grocery store, instacart, Costco, etc. They are annoyed that things they want are out of stock and there’s either no replacement offered or they don’t like the one offered, though. I have a new house project in mind, but havent talked to dh about it. Our house currently has gold colored bricks, and im not a fan. I'm now thinking about staining/dyeing them a grey color. It would look better with the shutters, and then we could do white siding. Hoping to do something similar to the 2nd pic, maybe a little bit darker on the color.   |

Being in the house this much is changing my habits big time. Mine, too. But I’m not raging and angry I can’t get to the grocery store to buy rutabagas and Oreos 😂. It’s not so much what they buy but how urgent the need for those items was made to be. And trust, we got ourselves some cookies when we got her the Oreos. |

Argh. The iPad (a very old iPad mini - actually belongs to my school district but nobody cares about it anymore) I was having dd use for her schoolwork and also for watching videos when I fix her hair or other times I give up and let her watch stuff seems to have died. I was hoping it was maybe just the charger cable so got a new one but it still won't turn on. None of the troubleshooting tricks Google searches turn up have worked.
So looks like I need to buy something. Pronto. A Kindle would be cheapest and Amazon claims it'd arrive by Thurs (regular) or Fri (kids) but one of the apps her teacher wants them using (epic books) isn't available for kindle fire and I don't think it will run right in the silk browser as a workaround.
I'm wondering about getting a chromebook or an ipad (mostly I am anti iOS but there are things for which it might come in handy to have one apple device - for example my dad has iphone and likes FaceTime better than skype) or maybe an android tablet. Advantage of a chromebook is getting her started on something with a real keyboard. Plus I could use it - I still have a 10 year old windows laptop from school but almost all other teachers have bern switched to a chromebook and for some apps it's better. Worse for some.
I dunno. WWM14D?

While I'm contemplating purchasing electronics ... I still don't have a TV but might not survive the rest of this time without one.
Short version: what's the difference between a smart tv and a roku tv?
Which invades privacy less?
Does either have sone DVR capacity?
I would use prime and pbs passport and probably get 1 or 2 streaming services (among disney+, hulu, and netflix) and would get an antenna to maybe be able to pick up broadcast stations.
Long version that I started with: Not much time to watch anything anyway and I'm not sure where to put one. Preference to wall mount (due to toddler and space) though landlord doesn't really want holes in the wall but might just do it anyway. These walls definitely have previous patched holes; if he has some leftover matching paint he'd let me use it wouldn't be a big deal (at move out time) anyway ... Digression...
I don't want bigger than 43"; might even prefer 30-some.
I know all streaming services will track what I'm watching. But I'd rather the TV not have a mic and camera that could be activated who knows when. I guess they all now have alexa or google assistant but if so I want to be able to turn that off. (Either always or just turn on when I want it)

Not to mention the junk food. I'm eating a lot more salad and other veggies and fruit since being home. But also a lot more chocolate and ice cream. Oh well. Cookie consumption starting to go up too... Ben&Jerry's is one of the items that counts for the hannaford helps school dollars promotion that's going on right now, and the stores haven't been out of ice cream, so really I *have* to buy it, right?  |
