And I just cancelled our GS meetings. And at the end of cookie season. I have cookies I still need to sell. Guess I'll be buying a ton of cookies

4 area school districts have now (today) announced they're closing. I now feel compelled to check msgs every 2 minutes to see if mine and dd's are closing. Need to go outside with the kids instead which is much better use of time.

I keep seeing jokes about a baby boom in 9 months. Umm we are isolating WITH our children, homeschooling, and working from home. These are not baby making conditions.

It's bananas. I don't know why people think they'll need so much toilet paper. H stocked up yesterday, but it's our normal shopping day and had to substitute a bunch of our Normal brands out. There were a couple of elderly shoppers at our store today who were very worried they missed the toilet paper. I just went for some milk and cake mixes (both M and DH have birthdays in the next few weeks). Everything was stocked except for toilet paper and clorox products. Bottled water was low too. Why toilet paper and bottled water though? Are they predicting water supplies or power to go out? I'm genuinely confused. I don’t get bottled water at all. But toilet paper is legitimate, with everyone at home all day with no school and no work we do need 3x more toilet paper than we normally do.

Dd1 has been talking a lot about germs lately. The other day on the way hone from work she said that if she wakes up in the middle of night shes going to wash her hands because of germs. I let her know that we dont need to wash them at night unless we got potty. I did look atvher hands last night and they were soooooo red and chapped from all the hand washing and hand sanitizer. I went out last night and picked up some hydrocortisone cream. It seems to be working since her hands are looking better now. She was practically crying when we put lotuon on yesterday because of how much they hurt.

But it's good for the last few worst spots on back of hands. Hydrocortisone will tone down the inflammation but not much for moisture

I just went to the grocery store for the last time for a few weeks hopefully. I was there before the store opened at 6am and there were a bunch of people waiting to get in. I have told the girls there will be no wasting food and I plan to make small servings of things to try and use as little food as possible. There wasn’t much frozen produce left so after awhile we will be eating all carbs and protein.

Our local water supply tests high for arsenic and other things. We have a water softener and always use bottled water for drinking. So yeah I bought 12 gallons.

I feel really up in the air about everything. The government has gone all out on some things - sports, large events etc, but so half arsed on issues closer to home for me - like schools and travel. DH is at the end of 3 weeks away and I’m dreading a phonecall to say his rig is getting quarantined which would mean he was stuck there for another two. Mass makes me so sad how much it has changed and I’ll miss it so much if it gets cancelled altogether. Our supermarkets are decimated due to selfish pricks stockpiling. DD2 is so unwell with croup and there was no children’s medicine on the shelves bar one bottle that had been smashed. I had to do a food shop for my gran - all the own brand cheaper items had been wiped out and only the expensive brands left. She’s a pensioner ffs and is too proud to let me pay. The toilet roll and soaps aisle was a ghost town...that was on her list. In times like these I like to think community spirit will win the day...will it fuck! I’m sad 😢 Could you just pay for some stuff and tell her it was on sale or something?

We don't have water issues here so it doesn't make sense.

Also, my grandma is not taking this seriously. She's 80, but was complaining because a pancake breakfast she bought tickets too was cancelled. And she's going on about how cancer is worse and we should be focusing on curing that. Thanks, Grandma. She's absolutely not planning on stopping her normal activity.
At least my parents have finally decided to cancel their trip and my 85 year old grandpa is basically a shut in.

Why don’t you get a double osmosis system attached to it then you don’t have to buy bottled water that’s what we have to filter lead

Is just we only purchased this house 2 years ago so it's on the list behind other improvements

They quickly got their butts in gear when people started dying and infection rates were doubling. My mom is 75.
