Finally!! Scotland closed its schools - potentially until August.
So that’s Wales, Ireland and Scotland all shut down....but not England 😳
Boris won’t hold out surely?

lulu, glad they finally took that step! On another note, DD1 just told me that we'd forgotten to have her put on her glasses today. So I'm definitely killing this homeschool thing.

Oh mrscheese that's so sad. The isolation while sick, in ICU, and if it comes to that, dying and grieving, is such a scary and horrifying aspect of this.

This schooling at home thing is going to require more paper. And printer ink. I hope there hasn't already been a run on those like TP!

I'm going to kill MH. He keeps hiding upstairs after he gets home. I've been in charge of these gremlins all day! It's your turn.

So that's a thing.

My husband isn’t here but every time he calls he pisses me off after I had just vacuumed and washed the floor Ds1 spilled a huge glass of seltzer and I swore and DH gave me a huge speech about swearing while he’s sitting on his ass watching tv all day not even exercising.

I never get anxiety and I'm having it now. I can't imagine already struggling with it and then dealing with all this.

DS sounds like he's getting a cold. Normally that wouldn't be an issue but DC may force him to stay home if it gets worse. DC has a branch in the next town over and the mayor forced them to close so I wouldn't be surprised if our mayor does the same. I'm just trying to take it day by day at this point.

There’s no shame in a good cry athena. This is hard. It’s going to continue to be hard. Fully grasping the ongoing, ever changing and worsening nature of this is overwhelming. Crying is a good and necessary release. Tell your H you need breaks or you need him to do X. Keep telling him.

Last night I asked Dh to take the kids outside for an hour after work. My teeth have been hurting for days and I have a filling that needs to be redone. I called the dentist, but of course they don't have appointments until May. Anyways, I decided to sit and watch tv and made a conscious effort not to clench my teeth and both the toothache and headache I've had went away within the hour. I knew I was anxious, but didn't know how much I needed to step away for a minute.
Also, we ordered wings that came with free beers from our favorite restaurant, so that helped. 😅

Repeat as many times as you can. When we get anxious or angry, our breath speeds up and we aren’t oxygenating our body which can lead to a panic attack. 2) purposefully tensing and untensing each muscle group of the body for a 2-3 count for each muscle.

For people that have done drive-thru or food delivery, are you taking any precautions with the food? Like if I go through a drive thru should I be wiping off containers as they hand them to me??

I didn't do anything to the actual food was hoping the place would handle correctly. Maybe I'm to trusting.

I am feeling very stressed the last 2 days. I get to work and there are whispers and it is giving me the impression that they want to close. So many stores, banks, the pharmacy in town, the restaurants etc have shut down. Everything on the news is saying be prepared for up to 18 months to come out of this. I am a single person and need my income. Just unbelievably nervewracking to deal with this, especially when buying things you need is not readily available and then I would need to drive a distance to attempt to get things- and then of course stores are out of so much. The grocery store in town got 4 big truckloads on Monday and nearly empty right after. Of course I am never right there to buy food when they get stocked up
