Each day is mentally exhausting. I have started virtually teaching. I am going to get trained in COVID personal protective equipment tomorrow - it’s quite a process. H is on an odd schedule possible for 14 on 14 off, for coverage at the hospital. Kids are at daycare. They have to have their temps taken at check in and I cannot walk them to class. In the evening I have to have my temp checked and I can get them from their classes. I don’t know what the right thing to do is, but I am expected at work. It’s hard times. We have had deaths nearby too. It’s sad. My mom works in the ED tonight triaging patients. I’m so worried about her. Of course she is older and is still recovering from cancer. She doesn’t believe that she is the at risk group. I asked her to call out, but she won’t.

I’ll probably just crumble at some point. My boss is trying to find a way for me to work at home a day a week. She is a saint.

It’s not fine if you’re exhausted and not staying sane. I can’t imagine there is any teacher in the country that is not understanding about student work right now.

His teacher is super sweet. She called this week to check in. I told her how hard it was to try and do 2 hours of work after work. The work assigned is completely appropriate, it’s just that I’m cramming it into a small time period. She listened and said she may be able to decrease some of the writing next week.

Between bad and worse due to the work culture in this country. My sister works in anesthesia and is still working in OB but her husband is in the OR and they cancelled all elective surgeries so out of work at the moment until the corona stuff kicks in and they need all hands on deck regardless. h works in the hospital system too and he said everyone is basically- business as usual, plus implementing corona stuff and running reports on elective surgeries so they can cut them and figure out losses/ any funds they can ask the government for. Oh and our freezer failed tonight and was leaking through the basement ceiling- fawwwwk.

Oh and Hs hospital is trying to work witb the ymca that closed their regular child care to set up a hospital run emergency daycare for hospital employees only. They’re structuring so it’s very small groups in separate rooms so easy to quarantine and keep separate.

Hugs activebaby and thank you and DH for continuing to work. Stop doing hw except on the weekends. Is there a family friend who has a teenager that could come help you after work or on the weekend?

Cheers Is it bad that DH is working 7am-11pm daily and I’m taking care of the kids while day drinking?!? Why does he have such long hours now? Tax season? Or the craziness on the stock market? I'd think nobody outside of healthcare (and supply chain for protective gear), or possibly also grocery, tp, etc, supply chain, should be working so much right now. Anyway, no problem with a day drink.

Dd came across a new show on YouTube yesterday (it came up after the exercise while counting to 100 videos we were doing starting with the one her teacher assigned) called numberjacks and is in love with it. It actually seems pretty good. (Problem solving focus) Weird, but good. Check it out if you need something different.
If it turns out to have sinister cult messages or something embedded please tell me because one is not pay attention nearly as closely as I usually do when letting her watch something new!

Is it bbc numberjacks with very strange baddies in it...that sabotage things and the numbers need to solve the problems? That show was out when DD1 was little and she loved it. But it’s the weirdest show ha ha.

We went to Tractor Supply and got baby ducks. I stayed in the car with the kids, but it felt good just to go for a drive. I was surprised at how many people were out and about. TS was empty but the grocery store was busy.

I didn't realize how backed up Amazon would be and I was a little late on ordering birthday gifts for Micah and Easter basket stuff. I hope at least something gets here in time. I did get a ride on toy as his big gift. We were planning on going away for the weekend of his birthday because it's his "golden birthday". How about a quarantine instead?

Right now, my delivery time is saying Tuesday for prime stuff, so maybe we'll be okay.

I think most will come in time but I'm glad I didn't wait any longer.

I’m hitting my breaking point today. I’ve spent 1.5 trying to review a spreadsheet and the amount I’ve looked at normally would only take me 20-30 minutes. I’ve realized I’m used to silence when I work. Even in the office it’s fairly quiet, and with white noise you don’t really notice the general chit chat unless you are right near it. 😩
DH decided he doesn’t want to use the babysitter anymore because she seems to be out and about like a typical teenager. I get his point but he really hasn’t been a huge help at home during the day either. He does bond market trading so he’s been fairly busy all week.

Shit forgot about Easter. Thankfully we are done and everything is here for T’s birthday next week.
My work isn’t looking great right now and I am afraid there will be lay offs and I won’t have a job soon. 😔
