Dd2 won’t stop screaming. I have been driving her around in the car. Last night was horrifying. I took her to pedi her double ear infection is getting better. She is having an mri on wed to make sure she is not like ds1 and to check there is nothing pressing on her eyes. She is getting Tylenol and ibuprofen and headache strips. Help! How is she doing today? Could she have a uti or sonething? Or antibiotics hurting her stomach a lot? I hope you were able to get some rest at some point! Baby satan woke up shrieking at 3 and didn’t stop I finally put on cocomelon bc I didn’t know what else to do. She’s chewing on a teether today so maybe a tooth? Unless she’s in the car she’s miserable

I have a job interview on Tuesday. Its at the local quilting and sewing store. The owner is looking for a couple of part time people. She sounds flexible with my only wanting to work when the kids are in school. Of course Dd2 woke up this morning not feeling well. I'm pretty sure she has a cold, but she has a headache and her temp when I got up was 100.0, so she's going to be staying home tomorrow. DH is working day shift tomorrow and Tuesday, so if she needs to stay home on Tuesday I'll see if I can move the interview to Wednesday when DH is home. How did it go? I love working while DD is at school. Just enough to get me out of the house, I took a job as a lunch lady😂at the local middle school

Right away she asked about my weekend availability since I didn't mark that on my application. I told her that I would prefer not to work weekends with my dhs schedule, but if given some notice I could likely do it once in a while. We talked about my customer service background, and what all the job will entail. She asked if I can sew, and I said yes, and even offered to help with some of the kids sewing classes that she teaches if I'm available. She mentioned that she feels like I will be a great fit for the position. She has a few more interviews to do, but will be making her decision in a couple of weeks.

Congrats scotty!! How are you feeling? How are big brothers adjusting to a new baby? The boys are excited to have a baby around. They run home off the bus for a chance to hold her. I'm feeling good. With Dh here and the older 2 boys in school it has been a pretty easy adjustment so far.

It does not get me out of the house. But at least it challenges me mentally. Best of luck rainbowsockmonkey.

The heat index here is currently 102 🥵 Holy moly that is weird! And rather unfair. Fall should not be spoiled! We had thunderstorms and downpours right at bus time this morning which is unusual - especially morning Tstorms - but Ttemps pretty normal.

We had major thunderstorms yesterday too which brought on Fall. It was 45 degrees this morning. I love it!

The heat index here is currently 102 🥵 I can't even imagine that kind of heat. It was 31° outside when I woke up this morning. It was 80 a couple days ago but fall came right on schedule.

I'm hoping I can convince the girls to have a couple of extra blankets on their beds those nights. Its still September, and I want to hold off on turning the heat on for as long as possible, preferably till Nov 1st, but that likely won't happen anymore.

It definitely takes getting used to and now I can't handle the cold anymore. I've shown DH pictures of us with t-shirts on with snow on the ground when we lived in Michigan. I could never do that now. When it gets below 70, I'm freezing.

Setting up my new iPhone is a ten day process. Also I can’t figure out how to get the kids gems etc to transfer in their games as they never logged in?

Do Lego advent calendars ever get discounted (before they ate sold out) or should I just buy one for dd before I miss the chance again?

Have any of you had the yoto mini or storypod for your kids? Or any other audiobook system for littles you would recommend?
I'm looking for ds, who just turned 4 (a month ago) and is in preK. The library has a few audiobooks in self-contained players and he loves them (dd didn't at his age - she only just started liking audiobooks) but they only have a few.
We have a kindle fire but he doesn't deal well with just audio on it since he expects there to be video.

My grandmother had an Alexa video and the kids loved that. My family also records themselves reading kids books and posts to family shared photo stream they watch those over and over.

springbeduk, you'll probably not get a great sale on those before Christmas. You can occasionally find them on clearance after Christmas if you want to keep it for a full year. I've looked into those Calendars for DD1, because she's obsessed with Legos, but we tend to stick with just the chocolate ones at our house.

We have been in school for 25 days. We have already taken pictures, are in the middle of 2 fundraisers, sent in a snack for G's whole class, sent in a $1 to wear a hat, sent in a $1 to buy a frosty. Now they are asking for items for care packages for deployed military members. I truly don't mind doing any of this and know I don't have to, but I wish there was the option of them giving us a number of how much a student can give to cover everything for the year and I will just write them a check. The constant asking is a lot. Our school finally just asked for $40/ kid. And everyone still complained. I just sent the money. So much easier.

Not a system, so probably not what you’re looking for, but we have a couple sets of Me Reader books and my kids LOVED them. If you’re not familiar, it’s a set of like 8 books, and a reader - you push the button for the right book, and then the symbol button for each page as you flip through the book.
