Dd1 pulled out a tooth this morning. So tonight while I was trying to do tooth fairy, she woke up. When I went up to try for the 2nd time, I could hear her moving in her bed. Instead of going back in, I blamed the cat. He wakes the girls up at night when he's running around playing, so they will believe it. Im sure DD2 will tell me in the morning about how she heard Paul chasing the tooth fairy around.

So far his eyes look better and he has little to no "gunk" coming from his eyes. He does not like the new drops, and it is a bit more of a battle to get them in his eyes. I will have many new battle scars at the end of the 2 weeks.

I scratched my head this morning and ds2 asked “do you have nix (nits)?” So ugh guess there is some lice going around somewhere for him to know that terminology. I told him about what lice were and he said an afterschool teacher told them all not to touch each other….ugh. Oh and I told him no I don’t have nix. Lol

Our kids had a costume parade today where they walk through town to the local nursing home before having their Halloween parties. This is the first time they've ever actually had one, as it keeps raining on the day they have it. It was just the drumline from the HS band and all the kids walking in their costumes, but it was really cute.
Our district did parties today because they don't want to deal with it on Monday I'm assuming, but the town's ToT hours are still Monday, so the kids will be hyped regardless.

What does this mean? You can only trick or treat during that time? Our town has an ordinance for when people should ToT. There's also a concurrent trunk or treat that starts and ends earlier. I suppose you can keep your light on afterwards, but most people head home around then. It's set from 5:30-8:30. Trunk or treat is 5-7.

I just picked up M from school because he got car sick on the bus. This is the 2nd time he vomited in the bus and got sent home. Between that, normal sickness, and medical appts out of town, he is going to be absent too much. I'm going to have to drive him every day and might have to cancel our February vacation.
He also admitted to me that he doesn't use the bathroom at school (his fitbit alarm goes off 3 times a day but he hasn't been going and his teacher isn't having him go.)
We've spent weeks trying to get him to eat lunch at school because he comes home with a full lunch box every day. He has lost his appetite in general but at least at home we are there to encourage him to eat.
He wants to go to school. Without help from the school though I don't know how to keep him healthy. His last kidney numbers came back much worse. He has his specialist appts at the end of the month and we plan to get a medical plan at the school in writing afterwards.
Sorry for the vent. I just needed to share somewhere. It's a daily struggle and I worry about him so much.

That sounds like a pretty straight forward medical request to remind him to go to the restroom? I’m so sorry for all the stress.

We also tried sitting in the front of the bus. As for the bathroom he should have a 504 and the nurse should be coming down to get him to use the bathroom in her office. That is what kids do in our school system. Or an aide should be taking him. Call student services and ask them to have a meeting w a guidance counsler.

scotty, that sounds rough. Does M have a 504 at school? If not, definitely push for one. And mention to his teacher that when his alarm goes off he has to go to the bathroom.

scotty I am so sorry. That sounds very stressful and worrisome regarding his health. I am surprised his teacher isn't just telling him he has to go to the bathroom on her own without needing some 504 (I don't know what that is sorry- we don't have that)

I was able to get ahold of the school nurse today (she wasn't available yesterday when the office sent him home). We are getting a health plan put in writing to cover the bathroom breaks and motion sickness tomorrow. They won't send him home if he is feeling better after getting off the bus. We will drive him most of the time from now on but still need the option of riding the bus. I wonder what the difference is between a "health plan" and a 504. I'll make sure to ask. Thank you for all of the advice everyone!

There is a topical storm/hurricane headed our way what should we do? Stay in our hotel and book a diff hotel for weekend and do parks then or see if we can fly out. I can’t imagine taking all these ppl out for 2 days in torrential rain if the parks are open.

I was just looking at the weather down there because my parents are supposed to fly to Orlando on Thursday. I say supposed to because I'm sure their flight will get canceled. With that much rain in the forcast, I would probably head out early, but I know how expensive those Disney tickets are so I could also see extending your stay. That's a hard decision.
