S has RSV. ๐ญ She's doing okay now that we have an inhaler for her to help breathe, but she won't take any milk at all.
It just doesn't feel like Christmas here with everything going on. I hope the kids don't remember this year as the Christmas we were all sick and mom didn't get anything done.

You could also postpone Christmas a week. Remember when ds1 was paralyzed at every holiday in 2016. All he remembers is I took great care of him. None of my kids said Passover 2016 was awful. Hang in there!! Your doing a great job!!

We are all sick, me more than the others, but all sick nonetheless. We are currently having the conversation/argument about calling it now and telling people we wonโt be doing Christmas with them this weekend or waiting until later in the week to decide. So freaking frustrating. We are having freakishly cold weather here right now, too. Itโs in the teens and so icy. My Prius is not up to that challenge so Iโm just stuck at home with the kids. I ran out of an inhaler and getting a refill has been a disaster. I might have abs of steel a after this is all done ๐. So much damn coughing. scotty Iโm so sorry about all the sickness, especially S and RSV. How scary. I will say a prayer for continued healing. Thank goodness for that medicine!

We're in the middle of changing around our Christmas plans. FIL was supposed to come but he's sick. Plus he's a 16 hour drive away and we're supposed to get really bad weather over the next few days.
So we're trying to decide what to do. The current thought is that my parents will come over Christmas morning and do presents and breakfast with us (which is what we do on their years) and then we'll keep up with a pizza dinner (which is our newish tradition when FIL comes) rather than going to dinner at my parents. Maybe we'll head over to their house later in the evening to play games.
Of course, now H is sick and puking. (After both girls are finally better) So who knows how long that will continue.
I'm thinking of sleeping on the couch tonight.

We are having some wicked cold coming through the next couple of days. Dh was supposed to off last night and tonight, but his work called inclement weather yesterday and he has to be there from 7pm last night till he gets done with his friday night shift at 7am. He ended up picking up the shift last night and tonight, so he is getting double time while working, and time and a half while he sleeps there. I wen out and clean the snow from his driveway in the back, and our next door neighbors driveway, and the neighbor from across the street came over and did my driveway in the front, and helped with the next door neighbors house. It wasnt super cold or windy while i was outside, and aside from my legs getting a bit cold because i dont have snow pants (i just wore some fleece pj pants inside my jeans), i was mostly warm. My eye lashes did freeze together a couple of times, so that was interesting.

Wow rainbowsockmonkey, you look very bundled! Eyelashes freezing together is pretty hard-core winter!! Meanwhile we (most of maine) are going to land on the warm side/corner of the storm - its around 30 and light snow starting now but tomorrow it's supposed to be 50 and 2 inches of rain. Yuck. Will be so icy by Saturday when it freezes. Power may go out too with the wind. At least my dad and stepmother are already here and they stay in a hotel - so if power goes out hopefully it won't at the hotel so we could go there some. And the power company has actually been out trimming branches away from the lines around town the last couple weeks, so maybe it won't go out... maybe. I hope you all can stay safe and warm!

I was pretty warm. My face actually got a little too warm, and I pulled my scarf down a few times. I had to put it back up pretty quickly, though, not because my face got cold, but because the snot in my nose froze with the firat breath in I took. An hour ago, it was announced that I 90 from Rapid City SD to Albert Lea MN has been closed. That's 659 miles of interstate closed because of the wind and blowing snow.

We are having the west coast version of that cold weather. It was in the teens which is rare here. Snowing now. Tomorrow we are supposed to get freezing rain. Lovely.
My in-laws are not coming. We called to tell them weโre sick and maybe we should postpone and they said โwe meant to call you, we decided not to come because of road conditions and weather.โ
Merry Christmas to me!
Also, my inhaler arrived in the mail today. Another Christmas miracle!

We took S to the ER on Wednesday night and she was admitted and transferred to a bigger hospital. She's on oxygen and IV fluids for RSV, and antibiotics for a UTI. She is doing okay but I don't know if we will make it home from the hospital for Christmas.

She is doing okay but I don't know if we will make it home from the hospital for Christmas. Sending wishes for a speedy recovery for S! It's good you could get her into a bigger hospital, and at least if that all had to happen, it sounds like you beat the worst of the storm (as in already we're at the bigger hospital). Are you and your H both with her, or is he taking care of the boys? Santa definitely reschedules for families who have a baby in the hospital at/just before Christmas! And luvboston is right, your boys won't remember this in a bad, mom-didn't-do anything kind of way. They will remember you loved them and took care of them and their sister, and long term either all the Christmases will mush together in memories or maybe this one will turn out to be the source of a new tradition - not having someone in the hospital - that better not become a tradition - but maybe one of the older two takes on a new responsibility or creates a holiday thing to do, or maybe something stressful that was just being done out of guilt/habit can finally get dropped starting this year - something like that. Hugs and positive thoughts to you.

scotty hope S makes a quick recovery! It was rainy and windy all night. A tree came down in the yard but it wasn't big and didn't really damage anything. Like springbeduk, it's about 50 degrees here today but it's supposed to plummet into the teens overnight.

Itโs 57 here and pouring, so windy I want to drop dead being soaking wet is my worst nightmare come true. The treehouse door keeps flying open so now Iโm getting wood to nail it shut. My huge 100 yr old trees are doing a jingle bells number, a branch came down and impaled the ground 4 feet down. Dh sent me all his destinations

Seattle is a solid sheet of ice. Never seen anything like this here ever. No planes, trains, busses, cars. Just 100% shut down.

The worst is when it is also too cold for road salt to work. I hope you don't have that situation! Stay safe! Also, very happy for you that your inhaler arrived and that your in-laws aren't arriving! I hope you will feel better soon!

I guess it didn't quite make it to 50, or that was this morning? Temp is supposed to drop overnight but still to maybe 20 or which isn't unusually cold for here; way warmer than it will be so many other places! Apparently there's hurricane force winds just off the coast and flooding of coastal roads, including parts of Portland, but so far in Bangor it is very, but not absurdly, windy. ๐ค๐ค๐ค I'm sorry you had to go out in the freezingness! Stay safe on the way home, and I hope you have electricity, etc still!

3 trees fell in our yard. They were dead anyway and not very big. One fell on our fire pit but the other two didn't hit anything.

Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers. S is doing well and we should be going home tomorrow if she does good tonight. She was transported a few hours away from home so we've got quite the trip ahead of us. This morning the wind chill was -41 here. Combined with the wind and foot of snow we got at home it should make for an interesting drive. There are advisories suggesting no travel but I really want to be with the kids for Christmas. If it is safe, of course.

Our power went out yesterday (Friday) late afternoon, is still out, may be a couple more days since our outage is only 94 customers not hundreds. So Santa has to come find us at the hotel...(where my dad and stepmother, and brother and SIL, were already planning to stay). It's off off off season, though, and the desk clerk gave us his employee discount or something like that so it isn't *too* expensive, at least. And really we are lucky; many people right along the coast, and also some inland spots, are dealing with flooding too, or otherwise damaged property. Power outage is just inconvenient. And sucks for the line workers who have to be out working over Christmas. Hopefully our home won't get cold enough to worry about pipes freezing. It's the middle unit, so most protected; so far by this evening it had only gone down to 52.๐ค
I hope you all have a safe, cozy, Christmas / last day of Hanukkah! (If I counted right?)

Merry Christmas to everyone!
Unfortunately, we have been hit for the last 2 days and still coming with a big storm so Matt was not able to come up for Christmas and when we tried to get to my parents today we couldn't. The main road had just been plowed but none of the sideroads off of it so the big wall of snow and ice from the plow prevented us from even attempting their road. Although the amount of snow on the road was also too much for my car or even a truck to get through. Pretty boring day spent at home watching a couple of movies with Peyton.
Brad is staying here for a couple of days with the weather but left to see his kids in Toronto and will be back later. Of course Toronto has no snow ๐
