Oh no! Can you get one you like locally? I've had a specific one picked out for a while but it's always out of stock. I saw some that would work at Lowe's. I'm going to wait until DH comes home to pull the trigger though. Does anyone have finger print resistant stainless in their kitchen? We have l stainless appliances but I'm constantly wiping them down for spots, was wondering if it actually works. Not stainless, but we have a GE fridge that is Slate and it doesn't show anything. We got it almost 2 years ago and the front still looks brand new. The only thing I have to wipe done on a regular basis is the handles.

jennyinheaven, must be something with appliances right now. Our fridge is having issues. We think we've located the problem and are going to try ad replace the $20 part rather than buying a whole new fridge.

Dryer was making noise, DH was going to fix it (for like the 5th time), but then the washer started leaking. So waiting for our new washer/dryer to get delivered. Then our oven broke and won’t stay lit. Unfortunately we have an uncommon size oven and it will be 6-7 months due to production delays. Thankfully it was a somewhat double oven so I have a skinny side oven I can use for some stuff and it’s getting into grilling season. I swear when it rains it pours!

Today I signed M & H up for a nature camp over the summer. It is only 1 day a week for 3-4 hours and they will go on different days, but it will be the first time M will be alone without his brothers or parents. I have never had help other than emergencies or a few weekends with my parents. I hope it will help get him ready for school in the fall. It's such a tiny bit of help but I'm relieved to have it.

Yes, we are still trying to finish our bedroom and then all this. But I keep telling myself to be happy I can afford to fix what's broken, and I love my home. Perspective helps, but it was definitely a stressful weekend. I didn't even mention my upstairs toilet started running...lol

We are in the middle of starting multiple house projects and refinancing to do them. But we are lucky these hiccups aren’t majorly impacting our budget.

T’s birthday was yesterday and then today we brought him to get his first Covid vaccine (his request). Then I cleaned up the house from the party, did grocery pick up, grabbed some cupcakes to celebrate his birthday at school, and finished the laundry.
I am so tired. He was so grateful to finally have a party but I totally forget about how much work goes into getting the house ready for lots of people and then just normal stuff.

We’ve been mask optional at school for 2 weeks tomorrow. 25% of J’s class is currently positive. That, plus a 5 year old I want to put on the curb with a free sign (the attitude! The defiance!), work that is insanely busy and frustrating, a boss that is checked out, my foot is not getting any better… I am spent. Beyond spent. No hair pats or don’t worry about Covid sentiments needed. I simply wanted to say this somewhere to people I know would receive it kindly and understand.

mrscheese, my girls are basically the only ones still masked. I guess "thankfully" the majority of their class mates had Covid in January before masks were optional. So we haven't seen any sort of uptick. I'm worried the next wave is coming though.

Thankfully Covid is still low here (our towns big uptick was earlier in the year). But after masks coming off we were hit with germs almost immediately. Work has been busy and my group is getting sold, so I’ll have a new employer starting at the end of the week. We are also neck deep in getting into home renovations. My watch told me I did 45 flights of stairs Saturday as I moved stuff out of the basement so DH can continue to demo. And as I mentioned in another post my appliances keep crapping out on me. I’m counting down until spring break.

What kind of remodeling? We are perpetually working on our house. Currently having siding fixed, then paint. Kitchen gut and remodel will be probably next year.

At DD's school it's seemed moderate - heard about a nasty stomach bug but not multiple things (yet; knock on wood) - along with still a few covid cases. In the district I work in, though, the school where ds's daycare family goes has been absolutely slammed with a whole bunch of non-covid things since going mask optional and also they used to spray all kids' hands with sanitizer on the way into the building but they got told to stop. Now, So many kids out sick. (Including one or the other of the kids in his daycare family keep getting something so then no daycare). Yuck yuck yuck.

It was sounding good, but we shall see. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the new employer. I think it depends on what your role is. I’ve been at my company for over 15 years so it’s a big change. We are finishing our basement, it was badly half finished by the prior owner. Didn’t realize how much we had accumulated over the past 10 years 😳 so cleaning out and gutting it at the moment. Also getting a pool, so coordinating all those logistics as they are hoping to start end of April. Lastly, we’ve been trying to find somebody for bathrooms. But we’ve had trouble getting a contractor for that. Our basement guy sometimes does them but his plumber is based further away and may charge us a surcharge for travel. So not the best option. One of the places we got a quote from couldn’t guarantee final pricing with material pricing fluctuating and the earliest they could start was December. Your post hit home with me because I completely understand the overwhelmed feeling. Also why I’ve been fairly quiet here.

Well, I really hope the new employer is a good fit for you. 🤞🏻 The house stuff is so stressful but so exciting. A pool! 🤩 The lead times on things are insane. We just ordered a garage door and it won’t be ready for 6 months min. For a plain jane vanilla no frills garage door! We are buying this ridiculously expensive outdoor set this week. Ours will seat 8, tho. They said it’s in stock and shouldn’t be longer than 2 weeks for delivery/set up. A rarity! I need to find a long cable to thread through the chairs so they aren’t stolen. #cityliving

Like isn't quite the right reaction. We need a "comiserating!" button! Or something. But anyway ... I hope the colds go away soon!

I had a good day. Released from going to the breast center, it's back to regular mammograms for me. And we bought a dishwasher yesterday, it was in stock delivered this morning, and DH already has it in and running.
