njgirl84 are staying in Hartford? Did you go back to the office yet? We went back 2 weeks ago. They blamed the bad traffic just on my company going back!

Love the outdoor set mrscheese! I want something similar but we just bought a new bed that cost as much as a used car, so no big purchases for us for awhile! jennyinheaven, great news on both fronts!

jennyinheaven Yay for good news! mrscheese I love that outdoor set. We still have 2 feet of snow on the ground and 3-5" coming on Wednesday. It was -2 when I woke up this morning. I know I live in the frozen tundra but this is extreme even for here. I need some sunlight and above freezing temps!

Oohhh! What kind of bed?! We upgraded to king and it's a Sealy Hybrid so the mattress has a top layer of memory foam and is then springs and it's cooling. The best part is the base which is Tempurpedic so it's adjustable at the head and foot and has a massage area for each section. We also got a new headboard that's upholsteredand is charcoal gray. It's totally worth the money! I may love it more than I love DH!🤣

Love the outdoor set mrscheese! We are looking to replace ours but I may wait. We have a ton of work we want to do in the yard this year that will take priority.

So you win. Hopefully, spring comes to stay for all of us shortly

I was in bed on Friday night and noticed a spot on our bedroom ceiling. Took a closer look at it today in the daylight (dh was on nights this weekend) and its a water stain. We potentially have a leak where the side of the dormer meets the roof right above our bedroom. We just had the roof done in June 2019, so I called the company and they are coming out next week to take a look.

I had a good day. Released from going to the breast center, it's back to regular mammograms for me. And we bought a dishwasher yesterday, it was in stock delivered this morning, and DH already has it in and running. Ahh congrats on getting cleared! That's great 👍

Well Peyton also got Covid from me on Wednesday so she was pretty sick for a couple of days. It's been a very depressing time for me this past week. I cry so much and hate it but can't snap out out of it. BF has been back and forth with his emotions or how he is with me every day. It is exhausting. I know he is trying to work through some issues of his own but it is difficult to handle. Had a super bad day on Sunday and was totally sad and miserable. I also have terrible insomnia since Covid and it is making me so tired and can hardly get through the day. My eyes were trying to close at work. I read it is a symptom of long Covid so that is really fun too.

But they did a survey and I put in to be fully remote. I haven’t heard yet if it was given the green light yet. DH is supposed to start going back 2 days a week next week then bump up to 3 in May.

That was a fun experience. Yesterday dh made an appointment for us to meet with the edward jones guy in town today at 9am. Dd1 woke up this morning with a sore throat, stuffy nose amd a temp of 100.5, so is home today and getting tested for strep and the flu at 11am.
We went to the appointment because with our luck one of the kids would be sock on a rescheduled appointment day, and took DD1 with us. We all masked, and she watched netflix on my phone. 30min into the appointment, and i looked over at her and knew she was going to puke. Asked the guy where the bathroom was, and he handed me his trash can just in time. She still had her mask on (that went into the trash). We got her cleaned up, apologized and left. Just as we were getting back into our town I looked in the rearview mirror and told dh to hand her the book bucket (that i had emptied out). He got it under face just in time. He asked me how I knew she was going to puke both times. I told him thats my superpower.
Shes now laying on the couch. I'm going to guess strep since she says neither her head or tummy hurt now or right before she puked.

My kid has seriously puked twice in almost 8 years of her life. Hats off to you, you do have a superpower. I hope your dd feels better soon.

So, I'm weirdly excited I volunteered to be a virtual assistant on the Surmeno board. I need something to do, and surgical menopause is no joke.

I'm doing a virtual seat check on Saturday, and got the appointment information this afternoon. I signed up for all the 1 hour time slots starting at 9am and going til 4pm. My first appointment is at 9am with a family with an unborn child, and the seat and vehicle should be pretty easy. My next appointment is at 1pm and is a family with 3 carseats, so is technically 3 appointments. It's going to be 3 Diono 3QX (one of their newest seats that I'm not familiar with) in a Tesla Model Y (I've barely seen Tesla in person, and have never touched one). Talking with my sister this afternoon, she told me that Diono carseats and Tesla's don't play well with each other, so this will be fun. Dh is taking the kids to his parents for the weekend after school tomorrow, so I'm going to spending tomorrow evening reading all the manuals.

We are finally starting to pursue baby stuff. I’m handling it better than I thought. Probably because I’m giving it to my brother. I still need to go through the baby clothes and keep a “few” special ones.

I found great joy and honestly relief (prob not the right word) giving it to people I knew would use it. I watched a coworker wear my maternity clothes while she was pregnant and it was sweet.

1st virtual seat check of the day is done. It was my first ever virtual appointment so it was weird not being able to put my hands on the seat, but the parent did really well. They had read the manual before hand, and the seat was installed perfectly when we started. Both of those things made it easy and made me feel more comfortable. I'm still panicking about my afternoon session.

2nds seat check yesterday went better than I thought it would have. The parents had read the manual multiple times and only a few things needed to be corrected between the 3 seats. They did at the end of the appointment ask me about their other car, a Tesla Model 3, but since I was at all familiar with it I told them the best thing to do would be to make an in-seton appointment with a local technician because it was not something I was comfortable doing.
Dh and the kids won't be home from his parents till early afternoon so I'm taking advantage of the uninterrupted quiet and moving furniture from my sewing room into the closet. Its a little tricky because of how I need to puzzle the pieces into the closet to make sure everything fits I'm jumping from one area to another and back again. Flooring is probably going to be delivered this week, and as soon as its here and the carpet is ripped up we can start putting the new stuff down.
